Channel Advisor is essentially an auction engine for E-Bay.
- Using our $25 million of distressed debt venture fund, as well as bringing in E-Bay and Southern Capital as co-participants, Channel Advisors was acquired by GVPGC, as the lead participant, for $6 million from a dysfunctional consortium of venture funds
- This acquisition included an estimated $200 million of Intellectual Property (“IP”) relating to the building of an internet auction engine
- GVPGC founders restructured the new company
- Today it continues to operate as one of the prime auction engines for E-Bay with an estimated value over $1.5 billion
